Staff Accountant
The accountant role will have full Profit and Loss (P&L) and Balance Sheet (BS) responsibility for our US and our South Africa entities. This person will review all account activity, prepare all account reconciliations, and conduct P&L analytical reviews. This position will serve as the finance direct point of contact with the operations team for these entities. This position will also have various ad hoc projects as considered necessary.
Responsibilities/Duties
- Prepare full P&L and BS for the US and South Africa entitie.s
- Prepare and post journal entries into the ERP system.
- Prepare account reconciliations for entities.
- Conduct variance analysis on P&L accounts with specific focus on manufacturing variances.
- Aid in inter-company settlement process globally for the division.
- Liaise with operations teams to gain better understanding of business.
Education/Work Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting. Manufacturing/ cost accounting experience preferred. Ability to travel to Tazewell VA if needed.
