The Field Service engineer supports the deployment, commissioning, and service/repair requirements for the North American Service team. Responsibilities will include training and coordinating activities on-site and in the office of field service technicians. This position will also work in collaboration with the product development and systems engineering teams to create training modules to effectively educate the North American Service Team and distribution partners on all PBE platforms. This position will also work closely with North American sales team to understand market conditions and create effective counter measures and process for new systems commissioning, as well as customer satisfaction with PBE products and services. As the face of PBE Axell, the Field Service Engineer is not only technically astute, they are expected to be represent PBE Axell with the highest degree of professionalism.

PBE Axell Field Service Engineers in Tazewell, Virgina, US Responsibilities/Duties

  • Coordinate team skill sets to ensure PBE has the correct mix of service personnel.
  • Efficiently resolve in-field service issues.
  • Deploy Training Modules for PBE Technicians and Distribution Partners.
  • Maintain all necessary certifications for surface and underground service and repair.
  • Work closely with Engineering and Quality to address improvement opportunities.
  • Provide recommendations about new features and product improvements.
  • Monitor service component inventory and work with the sales administrator to order materials as needed.
  • Work closely with engineering and quality and test to ensure ECO’s are fully addressed.
  • Work in concert with Sales Team to ensure service contract packages meet user needs.
  • Assist in documentation for installation of product lines for PBE Techs and Distribution Partners.
  • Writing reports and presenting findings on a regular basis.

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering/RF Engineering or, equivalent trade school or military training.
